Adrienne O’Hare, CPsychol, is a highly qualified coaching professional, combining a Masters in Coaching and Positive Psychology with over twenty five years’ proven experience in delivering coaching, learning & development and HR solutions in multinational companies. She is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist awarded by the British Psychology Society (BPS).
Adrienne has held senior management roles in telecommunications and consulting organisations and has extensive experience in business set-ups, sales management, and achieving in target-driven environments.
When she was deciding which degree to do, her mother suggested psychology, “because you spend so much time on the phone listening to and helping your friends sort out their problems”. It was the best piece of advice Adrienne received as it spoke to her two passions people and science. When she graduated from Queens University Belfast with her BSc in Psychology in the early 90’s, coaching really only existed for athletes and hadn’t quite made its way into the world of business so Adrienne began her career in the next best thing, HRD. In the early 2000’s coaching was gathering momentum as a profession, however professional coach training hadn’t reached Ireland, so she began her initial training in accredited corporate coaching through the US based company Coach U.
She has furthered her training to include psychometric assessments such as personality assessments and emotional intelligence assessments, neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and achieved a distinction in her Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology in 2018. In addition to this she was awarded Chartered Membership as a Chartered Coaching Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) in 2022. The title of Chartered Psychologist is a recognised title and reflects the highest standard of psychological knowledge and expertise.
With her strong passion for business and a belief in the potential of people and teams, Adrienne is inspired by working with individuals and teams to uncover ways to release and build on their potential in a way that delivers sustainable results. She gains real personal satisfaction in seeing people achieve their goals and sustain tangible improvements in their personal and professional lives. She builds and maintains lasting relationships with clients that reflect a desire to deeply listen to and understand their needs and a true commitment to supporting them to achieve their results. Adrienne is a trusted advisor, coach and mentor to a wide range of organisations and is driven by a desire to seek out proven scientific methods and apply them in a practical way to support her clients to get the results they seek.
In addition to her energy and passion for supporting clients to reach their potential, Adrienne brings a healthy sense of fun to her coaching sessions.
The professionalism and quality of coaching is important to Adrienne who is a member of both the British and Irish Psychological Societies, the International Coaching Federation and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, and their ethics and standards are upheld both through the quality and approach of the coaching solutions and how she conducts herself in the coaching relationship.
Fun Fact : After years of avoiding swimming pools (even on holiday) as the water was too cold and wet, Adrienne signed up for a try-a-tri (triathlon) with her buddies so she could get a night away with the girls. From this a ‘love’ of swimming was born and she is now a daily sea dipper. Her family still can’t wrap their heads around it.
